MultiLog 2 is a highly advanced and versatile multi-channel data logger with up to four connectors for monitoring any combination of digital or analogue signals. Benefitting from HWM’s next generation data logging technology the platform and processing capability of the Multilog 2 adds many new features to its market leading predecessor.
MultiLog 2 is ideal for monitoring PRV flow and/or pressure in a district or zone to assess demand, leakage and conformance, and many other more specialised applications.
Data can be transmitted to HWM’s secure DataGate 2 portal from which it can be viewed on any internet enabled device via the HWM Online website. Alternatively, the logger can send data directly to a customer specific server. Data can be downloaded locally via a convenient high-speed USB interface.
Multilog 2’s innovative secondary channel feature enables additional fast logging down to one second intervals. This is invaluable when more detailed investigation is required, such as pressure spikes and ‘true’ minimum night flow. Previously, secondary channel logging could only be used as a manual direct download but lower GPRS data transfer rates have enabled HWM to make this a telemetry feature. The standard logging continues alongside the secondary channel logging for general reporting purposes
Data can be transmitted to HWM’s secure DataGate 2 web based portal from which it can be viewed on any internet enabled device via the HWM Online website. Alternatively, the logger can send data directly to a customer specific FTP site or modem.
Once installed, firmware upgrades and programming changes take place remotely. This environmentally friendly option helps reduce Multilog 2’s carbon footprint by removing the need for expensive and time consuming site visits. It also ensures that the logger can always be updated quickly and efficiently.
When an alarm condition is triggered, Multilog 2 can automatically accelerate its transmission time to improve visibility and assist investigation. This is particularly useful when monitoring and investigating network events
Low power electronics enable the replaceable internal batteries to typically power the logger for over five years when data is transmitted every eight hours. A range of low cost external battery packs are available which enable the five year battery life to be maintained when transmitting data every hour, 30 minutes or even down to every 15 minutes.

MultiLog’s innovative secondary channel feature enables additional fast logging down to 25Hz. Secondary logging can be triggered on time schedule and/or in response to an alarm condition bring triggered.
