The R-8AI-8DIDO Profinet digital mixed module is designed to meet the needs of flexible cabling, limited installation space, and high I/O density applications with integrated networking capabilities. With two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, this module offers 8 analog inputs and 8 digital channels, each individually configurable as a digital input or output. Configuration is possible via a web server with HTML5 support or a DIP switch.
The module can be connected in Ethernet daisy chain mode with fault bypass, ensuring the continuity of the Ethernet connection even if one module fails. Configuration is facilitated through software such as softPLC CODESYS and the TiA Portal/Simatic Step7 design environment.
