R-GWR is a system of interface and measurement of industrial, civil or environmental parameters. The device creates a network of remote sensors connected with LoRa radio technology (863-865 MHz) and accessible via ModBUS RTU / TCP-IP protocol. R-GWR is ModBUS TCP-IP server and ModBUS RTU slave. The unit operates as a radio hub capable of managing up to 32 sensors, each capable of acquiring 1) an integrated temperature / humidity signal, 2) a generic digital / analog input (0-30 Vdc) from terminal or alternatively a counter @ 16bit with maximum frequency 1Hz. The power supply of the sensors is provided by lithium batteries (900 or 1,650 mAh) whose duration can vary up to a maximum of 36 months depending on the configuration of use. Data transmission from the sensor to the device occurs 1) at programmed time, 2) on event, 3) via integrated pairing button. R-GWR supports Ethernet and the ModBUS TCP-IP protocol for connection with remote management systems and in general up to 8 TCP-IP client nodes. On the ModBUS RTU side, R-GWR can connect with an additional 128 Modbus RTU slave nodes.
LoRa technology ensures low power consumption, longer battery life, lower power involved, reduced costs of installations and sensors. The communication range is dependent on the conditions of use, however LoRa ensures a deep penetration in urban, rural or indoor areas up to reach ranges of many km. The minimum update interval of the measured values is 30 seconds.
The device is easily programmable via DIP switch and web server. The main applications concern the remote transmission of industrial and civil measurements, as well as the monitoring of production sites, environments, industrial and residential buildings.
